Hydropower Ball Valve-Weight Hydraulic Type

This category mainly includes seat-moving metal hard seal hydropower ball valves, suitable for clean-waterpower stations free of sediment and quartz particles,providing long service life.It adopts metal hard-face sealing with a piston-type double-sided sealing ring, consisting of an upstream service seal and a downstream working seal.Stainless steel sealing crowns are installed at upstream and downstream sealing positions.

• When closing: The hydraulic system pushes the
  sealing ring against the crown to achieve sealing.
• When opening: The hydraulic system retracts the
  sealing ring from the crown for frictionless opening.
• Normal closing: Downstream working seal is activated
  for tight shut-off.
• During maintenance: Upstream service seal closes
  and locks mechanically.

The operating mechanism is a hydraulic actuator (linearcy linder). The valve is equipped with position indicators and signal devices connected to the control panel and central
control room, supporting local and remote control.
Opening sequence:Central control room commands -Open hydraulic needle valve to pressurize the volute -Pressure reaches set value – Solenoid valve for sealing ring actuates to retract the ring – Solenoid valve for main actuator actuates to open the main valve – Fully open signal feed back- Close hydraulic needle valve.
Closing sequence:Central control room commands-Open hydraulic needle valve – Solenoid valve for main actuator actuates to close the main valve – Fully closed signal feedback – Solenoid valve for sealing ring actuates to press the ring onto the crown – Sealing signal feed back
